WASHINGTON (WUSA) --- Pepco says it has crews and support personnel "working around the clock to restore power to customers" after Saturday's storms interrupted power for more than 65,000 Pepco customers.

"We've just started our damage assessments, but we're seeing trees and limbs down that damaged poles and crossarms and took down wires," said Thomas H. Graham, President, Pepco Region. "We have activated our storm center, and we'll have crews, the call center and support personnel working 24 hours a day to make these repairs and get all our customers restored."

Pepco says they hope to have power restored to 90 percent of the affected customers by Monday morning.
