ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (WUSA) -- Howard County police say the medical examiner has determined the cause of death for Elizabeth Nass and Rose Mayr, who were killed during a train derailment in Ellicott City.
The medical examiner determined that their deaths were an accident and listed the cause as "compressional asphyxia."
Police say no other details from the autopsy are being released at this time.
Nass was a student at James Madison University and Rose Louese Mayr was a nursing student at the University of Delaware.
