SILVER SPRING, Md. (WUSA) --- Supporters of same-sex marriage gathered out side a Chic-Fil-A restaurant here Friday to participate in National Same Sex Kiss Day, an event designed to highlight opposition to Chic-Fil-A COO Dan Cathy's statement that his company supports" the biblical definition of the family unit."
"I feel like everybody has the right to love who they love whether they are straight, gay, bi, transgender, lesbian and them telling people who they should be, that's not right," said demonstrator Ema Disimino.
Some customers were not pleased at the demonstrative embraces outside the store.
"I'm not a big fan of it myself. I think it's kind of disgusting, honestly, with all the little kids walking around. I'm a stone Republican. I'm not a big fan of all this public indecency," said Chris Schaefer, as he carried his dinner away.
