Shareholders for ExxonMobil gathered in Dallas the other day for its annual meeting, where profits and shares showed double-digit increases from the last year. The company is also back to number one on the Fortune 500 List of American corporations and last year snagged top spot on the 2011 Platts Top 250 Global Energy Companies Ranking for the seventh consecutive year. Steve Coll, a Pulitzer-Prize winning author of the new book "Private Empire: ExxonMobil and American Power," will explain the company's rise to the top.
