Emerson Aldron Ramirez Edejer
LEESBURG, Va. (WUSA/AP) -- Leesburg Police say they have found the body of a man who was missing since Sunday morning in a drainage pond. They had been searching for a possible drowning victim.
On Tuesday, police pulled a body from the pond and later identified it as Emerson Aldron Ramirez Edejer.
Edejer was last seen on Sunday morning leaving his home on Edmonton Terrace NE in Leesburg to go play basketball at a nearby basketball court.
A caller reported seeing a man in a drainage pond west of the Leesburg Bypass on Sunday morning. While on the phone with a dispatcher, the caller said the man's cries for help had stopped and he couldn't see the man anymore.
Authorities searched the area on Sunday and again on Monday, but had to halt their search that day due to rain. They search again on Tuesday and found Edejer.
