POTOMAC, Md. (WUSA) -- Crime solvers is offering a reward for information about 'hate' graffiti at a local middle school.
Herbert Hoover Middle School was tagged with graffiti early Thursday morning, police said in a news release.
"Officers from the 1st District responded to the school and discovered
extensive vandalism to the walls, doors, windows and furniture. The
vandalism depicted sexual images, genitalia, and hate language," police said.
It happened between 3:30 p.m. on July 13 and 9:45 a.m, police said.
Wednesday, 20 cars in Silver Spring were vandalized with very similar images and graphic language. Police have not connected the two crimes yet. However, they are investigating both incidents of vandalism as hate crimes.
